The actual palette is very small and compact; perfect for travel. The names of the shadows have very empowering names that women (or men) can identify with, hence the name ‘Identity Palette’. I personally love the color story that was chosen for the palette. To me the palette is in the neutral family because it has a combination of both warm and cool tone colors. What I like about the palette is that the warm tones aren’t too, too, too warm like the Morphe 35O palette; so you can add a pop of warmth to the overall eye look without it being too over powering.

I personally do not like the artwork that the front of the palette has. I would have preferred a sleeker look but that’s neither here nor there because the only thing that matters are the actual shadows and their performance.

Finger Swatches w/o Primer: Shadows are buttery. Some of the matte shades were crumbly.

Performance on Eyes w/ Brushes: Matte shades have some kick up. Shadows work well with brushes and they are buttery and are easy to blend.

Is it worth it: The shadow formulation isn’t revolutionary or innovative, so if you’re not a makeup aficionado than you can surely skip out on it. If you love makeup and have $36 to spend than by all means go ahead. Now, if you have been meaning to purchase an everyday palette that would perfect for traveling and perfect for creating day time looks and night time looks then the Identity Palette would be a great fit.

I would include this palette in my top 5 eyeshadow palette list!
